What do you have to offer?
Geocolor offers you the best value for your bucks. There is no need to worry about how your prints will look. We take care of all the necessary image corrections to make your prints look their best and we only charge what is necessary to keep us in business. Compare our prices to Mpix for example. The difference may be slight with the smaller sizes but look at the larger sizes.

What if I receive a print I don't like?
We will reprint it once from the same file you originally sent. There is no charge and you may keep the original. Our color technicians normally do a good job but if you need a specific "look", be sure to tell us in advance to avoid reprints. Please note that we cannot match a print you already have from another lab. Read the terms of sale for the details.

Our refund policy.
Since all work is corrected and inspected before shipping, it is unlikely you will receive unusable prints. However we can't please everyone so if you want a refund of your last order we will chargeback 50% of the invoice, excluding the shipping, back to your credit card. You may keep the prints and we will remove you from our customer list with our apologies. Read the terms of sale for the complete details.

Our color corrections.
All files are individually corrected for density and color by our technicians. We do not use software to automatically fix the files. If a file contains a skintone, we will use it as a reference and try to make it warm and lifelike. Any files without a fleshtone reference will be treated as a commercial print. We look for subject elements such as pavement, foliage, sky, wood etc and make them look natural. We have been printing for more than 35 years with very few unsatisfied clients. We add our own proprietary sharpening during printing. Please DO NOT add unsharp masking to your files.

Do you print without corrections?
Yes. Be sure to tell us when you place your order. We have full color-management capabilities. Our printer software automatically detects the embedded ICC profile. We suggest embedding sRGB profiles because photographic paper does not use the full gamut of Adobe 1993. All orders with prints made "as is" are final without reprint or refund possibilities.

GeoPrints vs. GeoPlus
Each GeoPrint is corrected for density and color through our printer database. In most cases the overall corrections are sufficient. There are some situations which need a finer degree of control. With GeoPlus prints we use three Photoshop tools; levels, curves and color balance, to achieve the optimum color and density. Since the methods of control differ, any GeoPrint which needs to be remade as a GeoPlus print will be charged normal price with shipping added.

Why do you charge for shipping?
Any lab offering free shipping has to make up for it somehow...usually through higher prices. We prefer to keep our shipping costs separate from our work. Priority mail allows us to ship to PO boxes and includes order tracking. Our policy of free shipping for orders greater than $25 is among the lowest in the photofinishing business.

What is your minimum order?
We have no minimum order. You may order only one print if you like. Don't forget that shipping is $6.95 for orders less than $25!

File configurations
You may send RGB or greyscale files as .tif, .jpg or .bmp, no bitmap files. TIFF files may be LZW compressed. We expect files to be submitted with a minimum resolution of 240ppi for the best results. Our Chromira printer has a printing resolution of 425ppi. Wherever possible, files should be sent cropped to the format you need at the print dimensions you want. We do not offer remakes due to incorrect cropping.
